At any point in time, there are thousands of individuals who are homeless in the greater Austin area. Each of these individuals has an unique story about how they came into homelessness - some stories include domestic violence, abuse, mental illness, the death of a dear friend or family member, economic hardship, natural disaster. or other circumstances - all are touching, important, and deserve to be heard.
At the Trinity Center, everyone is welcome and we refer to those who visit us out of need as neighbors, rather than clients. Neighbors come to us from hostile, scary environments filled with uncertainty. We believe it is important that the volunteers and staff of Trinity Center deliver a secure, structured environment that minimizes stress and crisis.
